The WINDY is a 150 foot traditional four-masted gaff topsail  schooner/barquentine Class “B” & “A” Tall Ship. Built of modern
materials, but like the old trading schooners & sail training ships, the WINDY has all the character & charm of the great days of
sail. It is silently pushed by the winds once its sails are set & engines turned off. The WINDY fully meets all appropriate United
States Coast Guard regulations.
  • Cruises will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
  • 150 passengers will be allowed on each cruise.
  • Each cruise will be approximately 1 &1/4 hour long. The Fireworks cruise will run longer.
  • Ticket holders are required to arrive in Rotary Park at the WINDY loading area at least 15
    minutes prior to departure.
  • Cannons will be fired. Please be prepared.
  • No alcohol may be carried onto the vessel.
  • No smoking.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Children under 2 years old are asked not to sail for the comfort & safety of all the
    passengers.
  • Refunds will not be given for NO SHOWS.
  • If the Captain cancels for any reason, unforeseen circumstances or severe weather, the
    cruise fee will be refunded.
  • Cancellations due to weather will be at the Captain’s discretion that day. If the seas are safe,
    a cruise will go: rain or shine.
  • A cruise may depart up to two hours from the scheduled time to accommodate weather.
  • Please note that WINDY is not fully "Handicapped Accessible" as it is considered an
    adventure activity. There are a few boarding steps, not ramps.
  • Restroom facilities aboard.

Come along today and hear stories from 1600's to the 1960's of Great Lakes Piracy, tales from the Golden Age of Piracy all the way to

Fireworks Cruise:

All Tickets will be held at Will Call. Will
Call will open at 4pm on Friday. The
Cruise ticket/will call trailer is located at
the opening of Rotary Park.  Address is
